Thinking of doing a series of witches, but…
edit: I think some of these can be combined. Like Science and space witch. Hipster and librarian witch. This is getting me thinking…

Meet the saviors of San Fransokyo in 'Big Hero 6' -
Here’s some news about Big Hero 6, which I’ve been working on for the past year. I worked on aspects of most of the characters in the film, but Hiro and Fred are my favorites. Excited for people to see this movie!
Such a Deva.

vincentsanyoto said: Hey love your work! Your posts with characters with armour and cool looking weapons are my favourite (like Joan and your level up GIF). I myself am trying to get better at drawing armour and weapons. My question is how did you get so good at drawing them? Was it just looking at references, or was there something that helped you understand them better?
Whenever I’m trying to design armor or bulky costumes, I try and approach it like I would anything else: Start with an idea of a pose, then expand on that, trying to find a good silhouette with the armor. Start with large, simple shapes and find cool, smaller shapes within. Then just fill the gaps with techy looking stuff.
Looking at reference is good and the more you understand about how armor pieces fit together and move/restrict movement, the quicker this kind of thing becomes.

Wow, thanks everyone. That Gralford drawing (of CritJuice fame) really took off. I’ll have to make more DnD stuff I guess!
I want to do a video that quickly shows a character progress from a drawing to a 3D sculpt; just need to choose a design first. Hopefully that would be interesting to some people.
